Weekly Photo Challenge: Shadowed (Père Lachaise Paris)
The dark makes the light stand out. Without dark the light would be flat and boring. We are born and know with certainty we will die. The moment is not known yet. In between being born and death lies a life full of opportunities and experiences. One of my favorite sites in Paris is the cemetery Père Lachaise. It is the last resting place of a lot of famous people and for some a place of pilgrimage. I published a few of these photos earlier, but it is nice to bundle them in one set. Grafitti on the grave of Hippolyte referring to Jim Morisson. Old streets with cobblestones. And the wonderful light of a Winter’s morning filtering through it.
The B4 retouch series:
I browsed my archive for pictures to publish in – an originally – small series. That series caught on a bit more than I thought. All of them are not retouched yet. Scratches, dust and stains are not removed.
