Islands in the stream

When I started to take pictures I was soon drawn to black and white film. Not only it was cheaper (yes, I am a Dutchman), but I also could manage my own printing in my own darkroom. I remember the smell of chemicals, hanging over the tray with developer,watching the image come up! Sheer suspense! Those days are all gone. Now I use a digital SLR to shoot MB’s of pictures. Instead of a darkroom I use Lightroom. But each trip the ‘analog’  Nikon F90 comes along loaded with Kodak Tri X. A wonderful film. The next image is shot on this old dinosaur.
